seaChange was founded by Malcolm Hardy in 2015 in order to raise awareness about overfishing and water conservation in his community of Napa Valley. An avid fisherman, Malcolm saw the first-hand effects of poor environmental policy. So far, through his organization, he has invented two products, Droplet and Swivel to promote water conservation efforts. Swivel is a fishing inspired jewelry line that is made of real fishing materials. Proceeds from both products are donated to seaChange partners to promote ocean related conservation efforts.

Malcolm and seaChange have worked with California state legislators and local businesses to put environmental strategies into action. Identified by USC as an "Innovator of Tomorrow", Malcolm has conducted research at UC Davis on irrigational drip line efficiencies and at TEM on high performance engine efficiency.
